Mr. Nguyen Trong Yem becomes Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trung Nhut Ward, Can Tho City
Can Tho - Mr. Nguyen Trong Yem was elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trung Nhut Ward for the 2025 - 2030 term.
On September 23, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trung Nhut Ward held the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the Ward, term 2025 - 2030, with the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development".

During the past term, propaganda and mobilization work has made much progress; the form of gathering and solidarity of all classes of people has become more and more diverse, spreading widely, contributing to orienting public opinion and creating social consensus. As a result, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward coordinated to propagate 1,854 meetings, attracting 64,890 participants.
Patriotic emulation movements and campaigns are strictly implemented; the quality and socio-economic efficiency continue to be improved. At the end of the year, the ward recognized 7,610 cultural families, 11 cultural residential areas and many outstanding individuals and groups.
The results of the social security fund mobilization were 558 million VND, the "For the Poor" fund was 87 million VND (exceeding the target). From 2024 to present, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has supported the repair and construction of 52 new houses; presented 4,125 gifts to poor, near-poor households, and disadvantaged families, worth over 1.2 billion VND.

Responding to the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind", 4,335 gifts, worth over 1.3 billion VND, were presented to the poor in the area.
Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - acknowledged and commended the efforts, enthusiasm, and results of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trung Nhut Ward in the past term.

Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, Trung Nhut ward faces many new opportunities and challenges in the city's overall development process. In that situation, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward continue to consolidate and expand the great national unity bloc, arouse the sense of responsibility and consensus of the people, create momentum for ward development in the context of rapid urbanization.
At the same time, promote the implementation of emulation campaigns and movements associated with local political tasks; Improve the effectiveness of supervision, social criticism, promote democracy, protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people.
The Congress agreed on 10 specific targets and 2 breakthroughs for the new term; and elected the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trung Nhut Ward for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 59 members.

At the first meeting, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward unanimously elected the Standing Committee and the positions of chairman and vice chairman. Mr. Nguyen Trong Yem holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trung Nhut Ward, term 2025 - 2030.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City directly awarded 10 scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies in the ward, each worth 1 million VND.
