On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025), in Fukuoka (Japan), the Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka has just coordinated with the Association of Vietnamese in Fukuoka (AVF) to organize the "Great Unity Festival of the Vietnamese Community in Kyushu - Japan and the Vietnamese Sports Festival in Kyushu in 2025".

Speaking at the National Great Unity Festival, Consul General of Vietnam in Japan Vu Chi Mai emphasized that the organization of the Great Unity Festival and Sports Festival aims to promote the tradition of national great unity, strengthen the strength of the Vietnamese community in Japan in general and the Kyushu region in particular.

This work also contributes to promoting the image of the country, people, and culture of Vietnam to Japanese friends. In addition, combining cultural and sports exchanges, spreading Vietnamese identity in Japan contributes to building a Vietnamese community in Kyushu, Japan to be united, integrated, developed and towards the homeland and country.

Today's festival is organized in the spirit of Resolution No. 36 and Conclusion No. 12 of the Politburo on the work of overseas Vietnamese; at the same time, responding to the pilot project "Great Unity Festival of the Overseas Vietnamese Community" implemented by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), Consulate General Vu Chi Mai said.

The festival is not only to meet and have fun, exchange, but also to affirm a sacred thing, even though living away from home, every Vietnamese person still carries the blood of Lac Hong, the heart always turn towards the homeland. Today's flag that we consider is not only a symbol of Vietnam, it is also a symbol of solidarity, of pride, and of community strength. We hope that the Great Unity Festival every year will not only be a cultural event, but also an opportunity to strengthen family relationships, a place to connect associations, businesses, families and the young generation, so that overseas Vietnamese can always find a "common home" in Japan" - Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh emphasized.

The most touching highlight of the Festival was the moment more than 1,000 Vietnamese people simultaneously joined the team, forming the Red Flag with three large groups with 15 blocks representing 15 community members, also the 15-year journey of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Japan.
