National Great Unity Festival in Residential Areas in Phu Quoc Special Zone

Speaking at the festival, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung acknowledged, commended and congratulated the progress that the Party cell, front work committee, mass organizations and people of Quarters 5, 11, and 12 of Duong Dong have achieved in 2025.

In the campaign for the whole people to unite and build new rural areas and civilized urban areas in 2025, there have been many good practices, many outstanding collectives and individuals; 96% of families are considered and recognized as "Cultural Family"; the movement to build a learning society, educational society is widely launched in residential areas; in the 2024-2025 school year, 100% of children will be able to go to school; the neighborhood has only 1 poor household, no near-poor household; the situation of social order and safety in the area remains stable...

Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung affirmed that great national unity is a precious tradition of our people. Over 95 years of formation and development, under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnam Unity Front, now the Vietnam Fatherland Front, has promoted the tradition of patriotism and love for the homeland. The strength of great national unity has truly become a decisive factor in the victory of the Vietnamese revolution; bringing peace, independence, and happiness to the country in general and the people of An Giang province and the people of the neighborhoods of Phu Quoc special zone in particular.

According to Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung, the orientation for developing Phu Quoc special zone in the coming time is to turn Phu Quoc into an international destination, especially developing tourism and trade.

Phu Quoc being chosen by the Party and State leaders to host the 2027 APEC summit is a great honor and pride for the Provincial Party Committee and Phu Quoc Special Zone. This is an important opportunity to promote the local image to international friends, affirming Phu Quoc as a green, civilized, livable and potential tourist destination. Therefore, it is necessary to have the support and consensus of the people, contributing to the timely completion of projects serving APEC 2027.

In the coming time, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung suggested that local Party committees, authorities, and the Fatherland Front, through expanding activities, promote the spirit of solidarity and consensus among the people, build village affection, neighborhood affection, "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", help each other to reduce poverty and get rich legitimately.

Strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to comply with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; actively participate in campaigns, patriotic emulation movements, socio-economic development programs, and mass movements to protect the Fatherland.

In particular, actively participating in urban beautification; transforming Phu Quoc green in the 2025-2030 period, with a vision to 2040; building Phu Quoc special zone into a model unit for security, order and urban civilization, no crime, no drugs, a safe and civilized destination for people and tourists...

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front presented the "For the Cause of Great Unity" Medal to 2 individuals; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province presented a certificate of merit to 1 collective and 1 individual for their outstanding achievements in implementing the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" in 2025; the People's Committee of Phu Quoc special zone awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives with outstanding achievements in implementing the movement to build a civilized lifestyle and cultural family in the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" in Duong Dong ward in 2025.

At the same time, gifts were presented to 10 poor households and households in difficult circumstances in residential areas; financial support for Quarters 5, 11, 12 of Duong Dong.
