On January 5, Lao Cai Ward Police informed that the unit had just received a case of a male student who picked up a handbag of high value and brought it to the headquarters to find the owner to return it.
Accordingly, at 11:30 p.m. on January 4, Lao Cai Ward Police received a report from Nguyen Van Quan (born in 2008, student of the Center for General Technology - Vocational Education - Continuing Education) about picking up a handbag containing more than 84 million VND in cash and many important personal documents.
Although the time to pick up the property was late at night and the value of the property was large, Nguyen Van Quan did not hesitate, proactively bringing all the property to Lao Cai Ward Police Station to hand it over, hoping to return it to the person who dropped it.
Immediately after receiving the property, Lao Cai Ward Police urgently verified and identified the owner of the above property as Ms. Vu Thanh Binh (born in 1986), residing at Residential Group No. 25 Bac Cuong, Cam Duong Ward, Lao Cai Province.
At the return ceremony, Ms. Vu Thanh Binh checked and confirmed the full receipt of assets and personal documents and expressed her emotions and expressed her deep gratitude for the noble gesture of Nguyen Van Quan as well as the sense of responsibility and dedication of the police force.
