Lang Son inaugurates border marker inspection road, supports protection of 15 km of border
Lang Son - The Vietnam Fatherland Front has supported more than 420 million VND to build inspection roads for border markers.
On November 19, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son province coordinated with the Provincial Border Guard to inaugurate the inspection road of marker 1146/1 in Na An village, Dong Dang commune, under the management of Bao Lam Border Guard Station.
Bao Lam Station is in charge of more than 15 km of the border with 41 international landmarks.
For many years, patrolling has been difficult because the patrol route has not been invested in, the force mainly moves on the old boundary, large slopes and slippery in bad weather.
Since the beginning of November, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province has mobilized more than 420 million VND to build inspection routes to four milestones including 1146/1, 1148, 1148/1 and 1148/2.
Up to now, the 161 m long road section to 1146/1 has been completed; the remaining sections are continuing to be constructed and expected to be completed in November 2025.
At the inauguration ceremony, the leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front assessed the project as having practical significance, welcoming the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2025-2030 term.
The new route helps border guards more conveniently patrol and control, while supporting local people in travel and farming.
The Provincial Fatherland Front said it will continue to mobilize social resources to support other border posts along the entire border, contributing to strengthening security, order and self-management models in the region.
