Lam Dong - The 2025 Action Month for Gender Equality takes place with the theme "Gender Equality and Safety for Women and girls in the Digital Age".

On the morning of November 28, at Lam Vien - Da Lat Square (Lam Dong Province), the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) held a rally in response to the Action Month for Gender Equality and Prevention and response to Gender-Based violence in 2025 with the theme "Gender Equality and Safety for Women and girls in the Digital Age".

The rally was attended by about 600 delegates from the Vietnam Women's Union, the United Nations agency for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security and departments, branches and sectors of Lam Dong province.

At the rally, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Minh Huong called for the cooperation of ministries, departments, branches, agencies, unions at the central and local levels and the whole society to continue to accompany in communication activities to raise awareness and action on gender equality in the digital age.

Ms. Caroline Nyamayemombe, Head of UN Women's Representative, proposed 3 solutions to help Vietnam build a safer and more inclusive digital future for women and girls, including: continuing to improve relevant laws; promoting understanding, knowledge and digital skills for women and girls and promoting efforts for the whole society in the fight against gender discrimination.

Also at the rally, representatives of ministries, localities and international organizations discussed the current situation, international experience and solutions to promote gender equality and ensure the safety of women and girls in the digital age.

In addition, many sideline activities are held such as exhibition of communication products on gender equality of the Women's Union of some provinces/cities and the Department of Home Affairs of Lam Dong province, experience making handicrafts with a message of gender equality, depiction of the Month of Action symbol and street parade...
