Inauguration of the Gioi Ham Bridge connecting traffic in Ngai Tu commune
Vinh Long - The rural traffic bridge of Ngai Tu commune has been completed and put into use, contributing to improving travel and trade for people.
On the morning of January 1, 2026, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ngai Tu commune coordinated with sponsors to organize the inauguration ceremony of the rural traffic bridge in Giua hamlet in the excited atmosphere of the people.
This is a project to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress, the 2026 Military - Civil War Festival and the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Vinh Long Province, term 2026 - 2029.
The Hamlet Giua bridge was built with reinforced concrete, 24 m long, 3.2 m wide, with a total cost of 320 million VND, sponsored by the Vinh Long Provincial Military Command.
Hag Mi currently has 496 households with 1,636 people, the majority of whom are Khmer; life is still difficult, the whole hamlet still has 38 poor and near-poor households, with limited travel and trade conditions before.
After nearly 1 month of construction, the project was completed and put into use from the beginning of 2026, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, opening up favorable conditions for people to transport goods, live and study.
The bridge helps connect Gioi Hamlet with Ky Son and Bang Tang Hamlets, contributing to completing rural transport infrastructure, promoting socio-economic development and building Ngai Tu commune to be more and more spacious and sustainable.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Le Minh Hien - Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Ngai Tu commune affirmed that the use of the Giua Hamlet Bridge is a project of great significance, demonstrating the cooperation of the Party Committee, government and philanthropists in social security work.
Mr. Hien acknowledged and respectfully thanked the sponsoring families for their contributions, contributing to improving the lives of people, especially the Khmer people, building Ngai Tu commune to become more and more spacious, modern, and sustainable.
