Dien Bien receives more than 10 billion VND to support people affected by natural disasters

According to statistics, during the ceremony, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province received more than 10 billion VND in support funds, registered for support from organizations, units, businesses and individuals.

The entire amount of donations will be supported by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province for people in areas affected by natural disasters, contributing to helping people in flooded areas to soon stabilize their lives.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Mua A Vang - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province - thanked the leaders of Dien Bien province, agencies, businesses, units, organizations and individuals for joining hands to support people in flooded areas.

The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee also commits to using the funds for the right purposes, effectively, and transparently publicizing the funding and material contributions of organizations and individuals.

Forms of support sent to the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, including: cash, medical supplies, vehicles, food, food, essential necessities... Reception period is September 15, 2025.

According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province, from July 31 to August 5, the whole province had 10 deaths, 12 injuries, and more than 620 houses damaged. The total estimated property damage is over 700 billion VND.

In particular, in Xa Dung commune, 7 deaths and 4 injuries were recorded due to flash floods and landslides. Tia Dinh commune had 3 deaths and 8 others injured. The victims were mainly women and children, living in remote areas.

Previously, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province called on all classes of people, cadres, soldiers of the armed forces, agencies, organizations, individuals, businesses, and philanthropists inside and outside the province to share and support both materially and spiritually to help people affected by natural disasters overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives, with the motto of having little to contribute, having a lot to contribute a lot.

In recent days, floods and landslides in the North Central and Northern mountainous provinces have killed and left many people missing, houses, schools and maple blossoms were swept away and submerged in mud, affecting local production activities.
