A bridge to promote friendly cooperation between the people of Vietnam and France

Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Anh - President of the Vietnam - France Friendship and Cooperation Association stated that over the past 70 years of its establishment and development, the Vietnam - France Friendship and Cooperation Association has always maintained its role as a trustworthy, dynamic, creative people's organization, adapting to each stage of the country's development and bilateral relations.

Regardless of the circumstances, the Association is still steadfast in its goal of enhancing understanding, promoting cooperation, and fostering friendship between the people of the two countries. In the context of people-to-people diplomacy being identified as one of the three pillars of Vietnamese diplomacy, the Association is always clearly aware of its responsibility, not only preserving tradition, but also innovating, creating, and strongly promoting the role of a bridge between the people of the two countries.

The Association will continue to expand its network of partners; strengthen cooperation in areas with strengths such as education - Francophone, health, culture, science, local cooperation, youth and sports. The Association promotes communication about the image of Vietnam in France and the cooperative and friendly relations between the two countries; continues to accompany the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Union of Vietnamese Friendship Organizations and France - Vietnam partners, to foster and build a trustworthy, deep, sustainable and forward-through relationship between Vietnam and France...

President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Phan Anh Son shared that the Vietnam - France Friendship and Cooperation Association has fulfilled the mission, fulfilling President Ho Chi Minh's expectations; accompanying the country in the years of struggle for national liberation and reunification and in the process of building and defending the Fatherland.

Entering a new phase, in the context of rapid and complex developments in the world and the region, in the face of new requirements to contribute to better implementing the role of Vietnam - France people's diplomacy, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations hopes that the Vietnam - France Friendship and Cooperation Association will continue to innovate its thinking and methods of operation, linking its activities with strategic priorities in the Vietnam - France Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and major orientations and socio-economic development goals of the country.

The Association promotes the role of connecting intellectuals, experts, youth, and the Vietnamese community in France, creating a sustainable social influence for the relationship between the two countries; closely coordinating with organizations in the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations system, member associations and French partners, improving the quality, effectiveness and influence of people's foreign affairs activities.

Mr. Phan Anh Son expressed that with the continued success of generations and the great potential of the Vietnamese community and Vietnamese international students in France, the affection of many generations of leaders and people of the two countries, the Vietnam - France Friendship and Cooperation Association will continue to write meaningful new pages, meeting expectations, sending and bringing benefits to the people of the two countries, for the goal of peace, stability, cooperation, and prosperity in the region and the world...

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to the Vietnam - France Friendship and Cooperation Association for its great contributions in recent times.

On this occasion, some outstanding members were awarded the "For Peace and Friendship Among Ethnic Groups" Medal of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.
