0 VND warm meal for the army and people in Con Dao
HCMC - Leaders of the city, Con Dao special zone and agencies, units, officers and soldiers had an intimate meal with more than 150 disadvantaged people in Con Dao.
On September 21, the Party Committee and the Command of the National Defense of Region 6 - Con Dao Special Zone coordinated with the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of the special zone to organize the program "Zero-dong Meal" to share love and spread the spirit of solidarity between the army and the people.
The program was attended by Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; leaders of the Special Zone, representatives of a number of medical facilities in Ho Chi Minh City and more than 150 people in difficult circumstances in the area.
The leaders, officers and soldiers of the armed forces kindly visited, encouraged, and had intimate meals with those in difficult circumstances. The simple but emotional meals have contributed to bringing joy, warmth, sharing and adding determination to the people in life.
Lieutenant Colonel Vu Van Luan - Deputy Political Commissar of the Defense Command of Region 6 - Con Dao Special Zone - said that "Zero-dong Meal" is not only a material support but also a bridge connecting the army and the people, a vivid manifestation of the tradition of humanity and affection. In the coming time, the Defense Command of Region 6 will continue to accompany and coordinate with agencies, units, and philanthropists to maintain the program, contributing to joining hands for a District of Love, solidarity and development.
On the same morning, the 2nd Infantry Battalion (Air Defense Company 7 - Defense Command of Region 6 - Con Dao Special Zone) also organized the program "Sghts of Coffee and Heart with the Soldiers". Colonel Tran Van Chung - Political Commissar of the Defense Command of Region 6 - Con Dao Special Zone - attended and talked with officers and soldiers in the program.
Taking place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, officers and soldiers discussed and discussed training, discipline training, life, spirit... as well as confidences and concerns during their work in islands far from home; cultural and artistic exchanges with the affiliated units.
