Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Hang holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Phu commune

On September 9, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Phu commune (Can Tho city) held the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune for the 2025-2030 term.

Attending and directing were Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City - and leaders of the City Fatherland Front.

For the 2020 - 2025 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Phu commune has promoted its role as a bridge between the Party, government and people, effectively implementing major campaigns such as "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods". The Commune Fatherland Front has mobilized the "For the Poor" Fund with more than VND900 million, this resource contributes to the effective implementation of the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind.

Implementing the policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, the commune Party Committee, government and Fatherland Front have mobilized the repair and construction of 87 houses with a total value of more than 4.9 billion VND and supported the recovery of natural disasters caused by 2 heavy rains and tornadoes that caused damage to houses and auxiliary works. The work of caring for policy families, meritorious people, and supporting households affected by natural disasters and fires has been timely.

Long Phu commune also promotes movements to protect national security, maintain social order and safety, protect the environment, respond to climate change, participate in social insurance and health insurance. Thanks to that, people's lives are increasingly stable, the great national unity bloc is consolidated, the socio-economic development is maintained, political security and social order and safety are maintained.

Speaking at the congress, Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao praised the results that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Phu commune has achieved in the past term. She proposed to continue promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc, enhancing social consensus, mobilizing all resources to successfully implement the Resolution of the 1st Long Phu Commune Party Congress.

The Commune Fatherland Front Committee needs to focus on effectively implementing campaigns and emulation movements launched by the Front according to the motto "Centralized form, practical content, drastic action, real effectiveness". In particular, focusing on key tasks of building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, civilized urban areas and sustainable poverty reduction.

The Congress voted to unify 12 specific targets and tasks for the new term. Approving the Personnel Project, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune consisted of 61 comrades. Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Hang holds the position of Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune.
