Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Hai Phong City Youth Union

The Congress was attended by Mr. Le Tien Chau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Bui Quang Huy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the City, term 2025 - 2030, is an extensive political activity of youth union members, an important political event, affirming the spirit of democracy, innovation, proactiveness, creativity, and volunteerism of young people. The Congress also marked a new step in development in promoting the role, potential, creativity and contribution to the implementation of the young generation together with the Party Committee, army and people of Hai Phong city to contribute to building a port city "Current, civilized, leading in building socialism".

In the period of 2022 - 2025, the City Youth Union has deployed 6,000 projects and youth work; maintained 725 volunteer teams of "Digital education platforms" with the participation of 14,950 members, organized nearly 1,000 mobile training and propaganda activities, installed and used VneID, VssID, propagated instructions on internet access, basic information security, avoided digital fraud; identified and prevented bad and toxic information in digital space for 66,209 people in the city. At the same time, 115 youth volunteer teams were established to support the operation of local government at 2 levels, attracting nearly 2,000 union members and youth to participate.

The activities of drinking water to remember the source and pay tribute to heroic martyrs and meritorious people have received attention from all levels of the Youth Union. The whole city has digitized 866 historical sites and red addresses, digitized 100% of martyrs' cemeteries with a total value of 4,330 million VND; coordinated the restoration of 200 martyrs' photos; established a delegation to visit, encourage, and present 14,634 gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and families with meritorious services to the revolution with a total value of 7,318 million VND; organized 95 volunteer medical examination programs, and provided free medicine to 14,250 policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services to the revolution with a total value of 4,275 million VND.

Along with that, the organization of Youth Unions at all levels is constantly being consolidated and perfected; the front of solidarity and gathering young people continues to be expanded. The work of training and introducing outstanding union members to the Party is identified as a key and continuous task. During the term, the Youth Union at all levels introduced 13,737 outstanding union members to the Party, 6923 outstanding union members were admitted to the Party; the Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union (old) introduced 10,014 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and training, of which 5,740 union members were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The Congress announced the Decision of the Central Secretariat of the Youth Union on appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hai Phong City, term I, 2025 - 2030. Accordingly, the Executive Committee consists of 41 comrades, the Standing Committee consists of 13 comrades; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Hai Phong City Youth Union, term I, 2025 - 2030; Ms. Duong Thi Huong Giang, Mr. Nguyen Tien Manh, Mr. Do Duc Chinh were appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union.

The Congress also announced the Decision of the Central Secretariat of the Youth Union on the allocation and appointment of the Hai Phong City Delegation to attend the 13th National Youth Union Congress, including 18 official delegates and 5 absent delegates.
