Female worker contributes to beautifying Da Lat to attend the Patriotic Emulation Congress

On December 27, the Lam Dong provincial delegation attended the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress in 2025 in Hanoi, consisting of 36 outstanding delegates. In particular, Ms. Trinh Thi Phung - Da Lat Urban Services Joint Stock Company - was honored to represent more than 92,000 workers in the province to attend the congress.

Ms. Phung said that she has been involved in the profession of caring for flowers and trees on the street since she was very young, and has been there for more than 20 years. Thanks to her sense of responsibility and many initiatives in her work, she was assigned the task of Team Leader of Team 2, Green Park Team.

With the nature of her work requiring meticulousness and patience, she always enthusiastically guides colleagues to improve flower and plant care techniques.

During festivals, especially the Da Lat Flower Festival, Ms. Phung and her colleagues work through the night many times to complete flower carpets, contributing to creating a brilliant appearance for the city.

" Tourists coming to Da Lat are mostly because they love flowers, so we always try to take care of the streets to always have a bright spot," she shared.

From concerns about the profession, Ms. Phung has researched and applied 5 technical initiatives, helping the tree and flower system on the streets and parks to always be green and flourish all year round.

In particular, she left her mark through the project of re-roading, re-building and replanting 1,040 cherry apricot trees to serve the Prenn Pass expansion project.

Despite the long-standing trees, large canopy and complex roots, she and her teammates tried their best to work in all weather conditions and completed the task; after more than 3 months of care, only 7 trees did not survive, achieving a success rate of 99.32%.

With outstanding contributions, in the period of 20202024, Ms. Phung continuously achieved the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level; in 2023 she was recognized as a Provincial Emulation Fighter.

It is a great honor to attend the National Patriotic Emulation Congress, and at the same time remind me to continue to strive, contributing to keeping Da Lat beautiful with thousands of flowers showing off my beauty, Ms. Phung expressed.
