Hai Phong engineers contribute dozens of initiatives, earning more than 50 billion VND

The core of every emulation movement

In 2005, graduating from Hai Phong Industrial College, Mr. Chu Anh Tu went to work at Toyota Boshoku Hai Phong Company Limited and has been there until now. From the first days of working at the company until now, as Head of the Cleaning and Drying Department, Mr. Tu has always maintained his enthusiasm for creativity, contributing many "golden" initiatives, bringing billions of dong in benefits to the business.

Among them, it is necessary to mention the initiative " Design a process to take advantage of leftover materials, reduce waste of leftover materials in the fiber-making stage" which benefits 2.59 billion VND/year. The initiative focuses on the process of using redundant sugar by increasing the length of the beam to make the most of only small coils; installing machines to connect small coils into large coils for reuse, creating products that meet requirements.

After the success of this initiative, Mr. Tu continued to research and launch the initiative "Improving waste reduction of silicone raw materials at the coating step" to save the amount of raw materials, making a profit of 18 billion VND/year. Or most recently, the initiative "Change methods, reduce waste of Silicone raw materials at the coating and material materials at the weaving stage", benefiting businesses nearly 3 billion VND. According to Mr. Tu, to maintain production at the silicone coating stage, it is necessary to stitch the fabric of many fabric coils together with specialized stitches with hard properties. Because the design of Transfer roll (a device coated with silicone on the fabric surface) has soft rubber properties, the stepper of the 2 rolls of fabric made of stitches has the property of being hard, which can cause scratches on the surface of the Transfer roll.

Anh Tu is researching to replace specialized handles with colored handles, with soft properties, without causing damage to the Transfer roll surface. At the same time, reduce the width for fabric inspection from 65 cm to 35 cm, helping to save alloys and silicone during the production process. This initiative was successfully piloted and applied to production since 2021, helping to reduce the amount of silicone, which means reducing the amount of hazardous waste emitted into the environment. With this initiative, Mr. Tu received the Creative Labor Certificate from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the third time and was honored to receive the Nguyen Duc Canh Award for the fourth time in 2023.

Not only is he an active core in the emulation movement for good labor - creative labor, Mr. Tu also actively participates in movements, cultural and sports activities organized by trade unions at all levels such as football tournaments, races... Mr. Tu is also an active member of voluntary blood donation programs with the achievement of 55 blood donations, spreading noble gestures among workers and company workers.

Continuously learning, striving

The achievements in emulation movements, especially the emulation movement of good workers - creative workers, for Mr. Chu Anh Tu are a journey of learning and constantly striving. In the early stages of work and up to now, I have always been guided, paired with, and instructed by Japanese experts and Vietnamese managers about the knowledge, expertise of the Textile industry and the production process of automobile safety airbags.

As Head of the Drying and Moisturizing Department, Mr. Tu is always enthusiastic, responsible at work and enthusiastically guides subordinates in professional tasks and goes well with his colleagues. Mr. Tu regularly organizes activities, exchanges on emulation results and effective work experience, rewards, and encourages the positive and creative working spirit of workers. Under the leadership of a responsible and exemplary "captain", the Cleaning and Drying Department has not had any work accidents for 3 consecutive years, achieving the KPI for machine performance, the index for production capacity per capita; exceeding the target (the amount of money to reduce annual waste) assigned by the company's board of directors.

Up to now, Mr. Tu has achieved a series of impressive achievements such as receiving the Creative Labor Certificate of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor 3 times, the Nguyen Duc Canh Award, the award "Outstanding workers are members of the Communist Party of Vietnam"; outstanding individuals at the 11th Patriotic Emulation Congress of employees and being an advanced example participating in the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.
