Giving 400 gifts and scholarships worth 602 million VND to Vinh Long people on the occasion of April 30th

Vinh Long - Many gifts and scholarships worth 602 million VND have been awarded to workers, policy households and disadvantaged children during the holiday.

According to a report from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province, from April 27 - May 3, the whole province implemented many social security activities, notably awarding 400 gifts and scholarships with a total budget of 602 million VND to policy households, workers and disadvantaged children.

The working delegation led by Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented 200 gifts to policy households, workers and 200 scholarships for disadvantaged children; visited and presented gifts to 1 Vietnamese Heroic Mother, each worth 2 million VND.

During the week, the Fatherland Front system at all levels participated in many activities such as attending meetings, surveying the New Rural Construction Campaign; publishing 12 news and articles; transferring 1 land dispute petition; allocating 20 million VND from funds to support 4 difficult cases and fires.

Member organizations synchronously deployed many tasks: inspection and supervision at 2 enterprises; organized 5 technical training classes for farmers; developed 1 grassroots trade union; issued 52 membership cards; inspected 4 loan groups with 21 households.

In addition, care work continues to be promoted with many activities for youth, veterans, and women; maintaining production models and clubs, contributing to improving the lives of union members and people in the area.
