Trade union organizes football tournament to celebrate spring and welcome Tet
Lam Dong - Lang Biang Ward Trade Union - Da Lat organizes the Spring Fun Football Tournament, welcoming the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 with more than 100 athletes competing.
On January 31, Mr. Khoanh Kra Jan - a union member of the grassroots Trade Union of Lac Duong Transport Service Cooperative (Lang Biang ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong province) said that the unit had just participated in a football tournament organized by the ward Trade Union.
According to Mr. Khoanh Kra Jan, union members and workers are very excited to participate in the competition and cheer enthusiastically at the tournament. This is an opportunity for union members to meet, exchange, and learn experiences in sports training and competition.
Chairwoman of Lang Biang Ward Trade Union - Da Lat, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Loan, said that the Ward Trade Union has now gone into stable operation, closely coordinating with local authorities at two levels.
The unit is managing 38 grassroots trade unions in Lang Biang ward - Da Lat, Xuan Truong ward - Da Lat and Lac Duong commune, with a total of 2,150 union members and workers.
In addition to representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members, grassroots trade unions also focus on caring for the material and spiritual lives of workers. In which, cultural and sports activities are actively responded to by union members, becoming a vibrant movement in the locality.
This mini-men's football tournament has 6 participating teams, with more than 100 athletes and hundreds of union members and workers coming to cheer. Athletes are all the core force of the sports movement, selected from grassroots trade unions.
According to Ms. Loan, the tournament aims to create a healthy and useful sports playground for officials, civil servants, public employees, union members and workers; contributing to health training, strengthening the spirit of solidarity and attachment between grassroots trade unions.
This is also a practical activity to celebrate the success of the 14th National Party Congress, celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026) and celebrate Binh Ngo Spring 2026.
