Vietnam General Confederation of Labor visits and congratulates the health sector on Vietnamese Doctors' Day

At the meeting, Comrade Thai Thu Xuong, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, emphasized the close and effective coordination relationship between the Ministry of Health and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in the past time, which has been implemented on the basis of the Coordination Regulations between the two agencies. The two sides have regularly exchanged information, coordinated direction, and organized activities to care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers in the health sector; and at the same time accompanied in performing the task of protecting, caring for and improving people's health. Comrade Thai Thu Xuong affirmed that, on the basis of the Coordination Regulations, the two agencies will continue to strengthen comprehensive coordination, promote the role and responsibility of each side, contributing to building a team of officials, doctors, and medical staff with solid expertise and good medical ethics, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

On behalf of the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Comrade Thai Thu Xuong respectfully sent the best wishes to all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the health sector on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day, comrade believes that the health sector will promote the 71-year tradition of building and developing, constantly improving professional quality, medical ethics and sense of responsibility, meeting the increasingly better requirements of caring for, protecting and improving people's health in the new situation.

On the same occasion, a working delegation led by Comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, visited and congratulated Vietnamese Doctors' Day at the Vietnam Medical Union agency.

Welcoming the delegation were Comrade Nguyen Luong Tam - Member of the Executive Committee of the General Confederation, Chairman of the Vietnam Medical Union and leaders of departments, civil servants, and employees of the Vietnam Medical Union agency.

Speaking at the working session, Comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, praised the outstanding results of the Vietnam Medical Union in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; actively coordinating with professional departments to launch patriotic emulation movements, contributing to encouraging cadres, doctors, and medical staff to successfully complete assigned tasks. Comrade emphasized that in the context of the health sector continuing to face many difficulties and challenges, the trade union organization needs to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation in a practical and effective direction; strengthen grasping the thoughts and aspirations of union members; promptly advise and propose solutions to care for the material and spiritual life of workers.

At the working session, Comrade Nguyen Luong Tam, Chairman of the Vietnam Medical Union, gave a general report on some outstanding results in caring for union members and workers during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026. Accordingly, trade union levels in the health sector have proactively coordinated with professional levels to organize many practical activities such as visiting and giving gifts to union members in difficult circumstances and workers on Tet duty at medical facilities; supporting bus tickets and vehicles to take union members home for Tet; organizing "Tet Sum vay" and "Trade Union Tet Market" programs with many flexible forms, suitable to the actual conditions of each unit.

Caring work is deployed promptly and to the right people, ensuring that all union members and workers are cared for and encouraged both materially and spiritually, especially the team of doctors and medical staff on duty throughout Tet. Through these activities, the role of the trade union organization continues to be affirmed as a reliable support, accompanying union members and workers in all circumstances.

On the occasion of the 71st Vietnamese Doctors' Day, leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor congratulated and sent their belief and expectation that the team of health sector trade union officials will continue to promote their role as a reliable support for union members and workers; accompany the health sector to build a team of doctors "both red and specialized", dedicated, responsible, for health and the satisfaction and love of the people. The visit and congratulatory activities of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor show the deep concern of the Trade Union organization for the health sector; thereby adding motivation and encouraging the spirit for officials, union members, and workers throughout the sector to continue to strive and excellently complete the assigned tasks, worthy of the trust and love of the Party, State and people.
