Minister of Health visits and gives Tet gifts to officials and doctors in Hai Phong

Hai Phong - February 8th, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan and the working delegation visited and wished Tet to medical staff and policy families in Hai Phong.

The delegation visited and worked at the Hai Phong Department of Health, Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital, Hai Duong Traditional Medicine Hospital, Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hai Duong Central Pharmaceutical College and Kim Thanh commune.

After listening to the report on the operating results at health facilities, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that health facilities have achieved in the past time, in which many targets have been achieved and exceeded the set plan. In the coming time, the health sector needs to actively advise localities to comprehensively implement tasks, especially improving the quality and efficiency of medical examination and treatment for people.

In the immediate future, during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the Minister requested medical facilities to continue to review and arrange appropriate on-duty forces, ensuring full emergency, resuscitation, and surgery teams, ready to receive and handle cases of accidents and serious emergencies promptly, and proactively prevent and control epidemics, ensuring food safety. Departments and divisions need to closely coordinate to avoid human resource shortages or delays in professional handling. At the same time, units need to better care for officials and medical staff on duty during Tet, pay attention to inpatients so that no one is left behind in the early days of the new spring.

During the day, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan presented 200 gifts to people with meritorious services, policy families and households in difficult circumstances in Kim Thanh commune; presented 200 gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to union members and workers of the health sector on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
