Promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Korea
Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien believes that the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea to Vietnam will continue to work with the two countries' senior leaders to develop an action program to promote the comprehensive strategic partnership in the coming time.

On behalf of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his joy when welcoming Ambassador Choi Youngsam to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; At the same time, emphasizing, after upgrading relations to "comprehensive strategic partners", Vietnam -Korea relations are growing. South Korea continues to be the largest investor in Vietnam; is the second largest development cooperation partner (ODA); The trade partner ranks third and is the largest travel partner. The activities of the two countries are exciting with about 250,000 people living, studying and working, including nearly 100,000 Vietnamese - Korean multicultural families.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his gratitude to the State and people of Korea, especially Korean enterprises working and living in Vietnam, for enthusiastically supporting the movements and the Appeal of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee when Vietnam is facing difficulties due to natural disasters and epidemics.
Mr. Do Van Chien believes that during his term, Ambassador Choi Youngsam will continue to work with the two countries' senior leaders to develop an action program to promote the comprehensive strategic partnership in the coming time.
Mr. Do Van Chien said that the Vietnam Fatherland Front is participating in drafting and amending the 2013 Constitution and is implementing the revolution to arrange and streamlined the Vietnam Fatherland Front Agency, socio -political organizations, mass associations assigned by the Party and State. According to the roadmap, by July 15, the new apparatus will come into operation. With the new apparatus and its role and mission, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to support the delegation exchange activities, exchange contents related to the field of economy, culture, society, defense, security ...
Referring to the three pillars in foreign relations between Vietnam and countries around the world: party foreign affairs, state diplomacy and people's foreign affairs, Mr. Do Van Chien said that the Vietnam Fatherland Front plays an important role in people's foreign affairs activities, thereby contributing to building and consolidating the great national unity bloc, creating a favorable social foundation for Vietnam's foreign relations with other countries. Therefore, when the new apparatus comes into operation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to promote people-to-people diplomacy activities and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and Korea.
Affirming that over the past time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has been maintaining a good relationship with the Korean Economic, Social and Labor Council, Mr. Do Van Chien wishes, in his position, Ambassador Choi Youngsam continues to create conditions for the two organizations to have delegation exchanges to promote good relationships between the two organizations, thereby continuing to consolidate the Vietnam -South Korean strategic relationship.
Thank you to Chairman Do Van Chien for taking the time to receive the delegation, Ambassador Choi Youngsam shared that the Vietnam -Korea relationship is in the best stage, especially after the two countries have upgraded foreign relations to comprehensive strategic cooperation in 2022. Over the past time, the two countries have focused on cooperation in the leading economic field with more than 10,000 Korean enterprises in Vietnam. In the coming time, the two sides will continue to coordinate with diverse activities such as: Coordinating the implementation of the North - South high -speed railway project, economic cooperation in the fields of industrial ... in order to meet the change of the world in the current period.

According to Ambassador Choi Youngsam, Korean entrepreneurs and businesses operating in Vietnam in parallel with economic development are always aware of their responsibility for social charity activities and supporting people. After Typhoon Yagi caused damage to Vietnam, businesses have coordinated with local authorities in Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Lai Chau provinces... to strengthen activities to overcome the damage caused by Typhoon No. 3 to people.
