Changes in management of nearly 100,000 trade union members in EPZs-IPs
Ho Chi Minh City - Nearly 100,000 trade union members were transferred management from the Area Management Task Force to the Trade Union Task Force of Export Processing Zones - Industrial Parks.
On March 11, Mr. Vo Khac Binh, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of Area Management Task Force No. 2 of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - said that Area Management Task Force No. 2 had just handed over 495 grassroots trade unions to the Trade Union Task Force of Export Processing Zones - Industrial Parks for management.
The total number of trade union members currently active in these grassroots trade unions is 98,778 people.
Area management task force No. 2 presented a report on the current situation of the units handing over and noted some specific characteristics in the area such as: enterprises with a large number of workers, units with fluctuations in labor relations or still existing in the situation of owing trade union funds, need to continue to be monitored, supported and urged in the coming time.
The transfer is carried out fully, accurately and promptly, to help the Trade Union Working Group of Export Processing Zones - Industrial Parks quickly grasp the situation and maintain the stable operation of grassroots trade unions.
Previously, at the end of January 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation had a decision on the establishment of the Trade Union Working Group of Export Processing Zones - Industrial Parks in Ho Chi Minh City.
The handover of management of grassroots trade unions and trade union members from area management task forces to the Trade Union Working Group of Export Processing Zones - Industrial Parks is an important milestone in the process of consolidating the management of grassroots trade unions and members and strengthening the care and protection of the rights of members and workers in export processing zones - industrial parks in Ho Chi Minh City.
