The first working session of the 15th Quang Ninh Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 20252030

The Congress was attended by delegates of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; and 250 official delegates.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress elected the Presidium, the Secretariat and the Delegation for the status of delegates.

In his opening speech, Mr. To Xuan Thao - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor - emphasized: The 15th Congress of the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor took place in the context of the country in the process of increasingly deep integration with the region and the world; along with the strong development of science, technology, digital transformation, digital economy and rapid changes in labor relations. Quang Ninh province is synchronously implementing solutions for socio-economic development, merging administrative boundaries and reorganizing the apparatus according to the two-level local government model.

That context requires the Quang Ninh Trade Union to constantly innovate its content and methods of operation, improve the capacity and qualifications of its staff; perform well the tasks of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; build a strong working class and trade union organization, meeting the requirements of industrialization, modernization and international integration.

The 15th Congress has many important contents: evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2023-2025 period; discussing and deciding on the goals and directions of Trade Union activities for the 2025-2030 term

Reviewing the leadership work of the 14th Executive Committee; electing the 15th Executive Committee; electing a delegation to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union; contributing opinions to the draft documents and Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union (amended and supplemented). The Congress also received recommendations from employees sent to the Party, State, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Quang Ninh province regarding employment, life and building the working class in the new era.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee - highly appreciated the preparation for the Congress, as well as the awareness and sense of responsibility of the delegates attending. He suggested that delegates promote democracy, actively discuss and contribute quality opinions to reports and documents submitted to the Congress; thereby continuing to affirm and promote the role of the Trade Union organization, building the working class to grow stronger in the new period.

On the morning of November 30, the 15th Quang Ninh Provincial Trade Union Congress will continue with a solemn session.
