On December 26, the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Health Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term took place with the participation of 165 official delegates.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen - Deputy Minister of Health attended the solemn session.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress objectively and comprehensively assessed the results achieved in the 2023-2025 period; clearly analyzed the shortcomings, limitations, causes and drew lessons from more than 2 years of implementing the Resolution of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Health Trade Union; at the same time, determined the direction, goals, targets, tasks and key solutions for the 2025-2030 term.

At the second session, the Congress elected 27 members of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Health Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term. At the first conference, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Health Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term elected 9 members of the Standing Committee, 1 Chairman, 2 Vice Chairmen, and elected the Inspection Committee for the XV term, 2025-2030. Also at the congress, the delegates unanimously elected 7 delegates representing all workers and civil servants in the health sector to attend the 15th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The Congress agreed on the targets for the new term, including the establishment of 5 new grassroots trade unions, actual development of an increase of 3,000 union members; 100% of union officials at all levels were trained and fostered in professional theory, working skills; digital skills and digital practice in trade union activities; 100% of new grassroots trade union chairmen were trained and fostered by higher-level trade unions.

The Vietnam Health Trade Union needs to continue to strongly innovate activities to care for the lives, represent and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; focus on effectively solving specific issues of the industry such as regimes, policies, occupational allowances, working conditions and environment, occupational safety and legal protection in the process of performing professional tasks.

In addition, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor needs to innovate political and ideological education work associated with raising awareness of the law, professional ethics and the courage of workers in the health sector; promote the patriotic emulation movement, promote improving the quality of expertise, science, technology and digital transformation in the health sector.
