Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation

At the Congress, the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city presented a plaque with the words "Hai Phong Trade Union Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Discipline - Development", presented flowers to congratulate the City Trade Union Congress.

Mr. Pham Van Lap - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city emphasized and promoted the tradition of "Heroic Port City, Four Traditional backgrounds" along with the courage, philanthropism, and the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, and being creative of Hai Phong people. In the coming term, the city's workers and laborers will unite, compete, and successfully carry out the goals and tasks set by the first City Trade Union Congress, contributing worthyly to the rapid and sustainable development of the city in the new period. The City Party Committee, government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the city's socio-political organizations will always pay attention, create favorable conditions and closely coordinate for the Trade Union to best promote its role.

The representative of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor announced the decisions of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on the appointment of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee, the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation for the 2025 - 2030 term and Chairman and Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation Inspection Committee.

Accordingly, the Executive Committee of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation for the 2025 - 2030 term was appointed with 49 people; the Standing Committee with 15 people and the Inspection Committee with 15 people.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the City Labor Federation for the 2025-2030 term. Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet, Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh were appointed to hold the position of Vice President of the City Labor Federation. Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet concurrently holds the position of Chairman of the Inspection Committee.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also announced the decision to appoint 26 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026-2031.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the City Labor Federation thanked the Congress, leaders at all levels and all cadres, union members, workers, civil servants and laborers of Hai Phong City for their trust and confidence.

"We deeply recognize that the trust that the Congress has given us today is not only a recognition, but also an expectation for an innovative Trade Union organization, closer to workers, stronger, more courageous in the new era of development of the city as well as the Vietnam Trade Union organization. The Executive Committee of the City Labor Federation, term I, promises to always be united, united in will and action; will be committed, responsible, dare to think, dare to do for the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. At the same time, constantly innovate the content and methods of operation, build a strong, modern and humane Hai Phong City Trade Union organization, truly a reliable support for union members and workers, a strong bridge between the Party, the State and the working class" - Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized.

After 2 working days, with the motto of action "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress approved 7 annual targets; 7 targets by the end of the term; 3 breakthroughs; 7 main tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term. Accordingly, the City Labor Federation promotes dialogue and collective bargaining, bringing benefits to union members and workers, focusing on wages, bonuses, conditions and working hours. Along with that, focus resources on promoting the development of union members and establishing grassroots unions; building a team of union officials to meet the requirements of tasks; promote innovation, strongly apply digital transformation in union activities, especially in financial work, union member management, and providing union welfare services.
