Mr. Do Tran Thinh was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor

On the morning of December 19, at the second working session of the 1st An Giang Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, the Congress announced the decisions to appoint the new Executive Committee, Inspection Committee of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation and appoint delegates to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union. The decision of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor appointed the Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, term I, to consist of 28 members (inadequacy 1). Mr. Do Tran Thinh was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, term 2025-2030.

Appoint the Provincial Federation of Labor Inspection Committee with 9 members. Appointing An Giang Provincial Trade Union delegates to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, including 11 official delegates and 2 absent delegates.

The Congress assigned the Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, term I, 2025-2030, to lead and specify the implementation of the Resolution of the First Provincial Trade Union Congress to all levels of trade unions in the province to successfully implement the targets, tasks and solutions stated in the documents of the First Provincial Trade Union Congress.

The Congress called on all union cadres, workers, civil servants and laborers in the province to promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, self-reliance, responsibility, dynamism, creativity, strive to compete, and be determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the First Congress of the An Giang Provincial Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term.

To achieve the general goal for the 2025-2030 term is: Innovation in content and creativity in methods of operation, enhancing digital transformation, creating a breakthrough in trade union activities; performing well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.

Promote the development of union members, establish grassroots unions, build strong union organizations; improve the capacity and political courage of union cadres to meet the requirements in the new situation.

Promote the role of a bridge between the Party, the government and workers and laborers; actively participate in building a modern and strong Party, government and working class.

Strengthen propaganda and education, promote emulation movements for good labor and creative labor, contribute to ensuring jobs, increasing income, improving life and successfully implementing the socio-economic development goals of the province.

At the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Council - highly appreciated the effectiveness of the activities of the Provincial Trade Union in recent times. The most prominent point during the period is the increasingly diverse content and methods of operation of Trade Unions at all levels and many innovations, increasing the focus on the grassroots.

The role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of employees is further promoted. Trade unions at all levels have been more active and proactive in advising and proposing to Party committees and authorities to organize many meetings and dialogues with union officials, workers, employees and business representatives. Thereby, helping the Party Committee grasp the thoughts, aspirations, difficulties and obstacles, promptly issue many policies and guidelines to care for and support improving the lives of workers and employees.

To make the Trade Union truly a large-scale socio-political organization and mass organization of workers, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that Party committees at all levels strengthen leadership and direction for the activities of Trade Union organizations at all levels and the workers' movement. Regularly dialogue and listen to the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of workers, civil servants and employees to promptly give instructions and appropriate solutions.

Governments at all levels, departments, branches and unions closely coordinate with trade unions at all levels, creating favorable conditions for trade union activities and the movement of workers, civil servants and employees of the province to have strong and solid development in the coming time.

Speaking at the closing session of the congress, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Do Tran Thinh emphasized: The success of the 1st Congress of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor today is a strong motivation for union members and employees to continue to move forward, seize opportunities, overcome challenges, continue to strongly innovate content, methods and organize union activities worthy of being an organization representing the working class and employees.

After the Congress, trade unions at all levels from the province to the grassroots level need to quickly lead and direct the organization of disseminating and concretizing the Congress Resolution into programs and implementation plans immediately within the Congress; clearly assign responsibilities, strengthen inspection, supervision and review, summary, ... to soon put the Resolution into practice; in order to create strong and highly effective changes in all areas of trade union activities.
