Sports festival to successfully celebrate the Hai Phong City Trade Union Congress

Speaking at the opening of the festival, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Chairman of the Le Chan Ward Trade Union emphasized that the Sports Festival was organized to create a vibrant competitive atmosphere among workers to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031 and successfully welcome the 1st Hai Phong City Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030.

Physical education and sports activities contribute to improving the health and physical strength of union members and employees in the spirit of "Healthy to work, Building a strong Trade Union". At the same time, it creates a healthy playground, strengthens solidarity, cohesion, and mutual support between units, contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of employees in the two wards.

Also through this activity, the Trade Unions of the wards hope to strengthen the trust of union members and employees in the ward in the Party, the State and the Trade Union organizations at all levels; continue to encourage and motivate union members and employees to actively compete, work and produce, and successfully implement socio-economic development goals.

The festival has the participation of more than 100 athletes from grassroots trade unions managed by the An Bien Ward Trade Union and the Le Chan Ward Trade Union. Coming to the festival, athletes competed in the mixed-use dancing events (men's singles, women's singles, men's - women's doubles), 1,000 m endurance run (men's, women's), tug of war (men's, women's, solidarity) with the participation of 10 grassroots unions.

At the festival, the City Labor Federation presented 85 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances of Le Chan Ward Trade Union, 90 gifts to union members of An Bien Ward Trade Union on the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year. Each gift is worth 1,000,000 VND.
