Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor summarizes the third quarter, prepares for the Trade Union Congress

On September 20, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor (PFF) held an expanded Executive Committee Conference to summarize trade union activities in the third quarter and deploy key tasks in the fourth quarter of 2025.

In the third quarter, the ideological and employment situation of union members was stable, labor relations were harmonious. The Union Meal Program has served more than 96,000 union members; at the same time, 148 disadvantaged cases were supported and 26 Union Shelters were handed over.

In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor admitted 1,931 new union members and established 10 new grassroots unions, contributing to expanding the union network in the area.

The conference identified key tasks in the fourth quarter, including: continuing to care for and protect the rights of workers, especially during the Lunar New Year; promoting propaganda and political and ideological education; preparing and organizing Trade Union Congresses at all levels, towards the 1st Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030.

Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor - said that today, the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor held an Executive Committee meeting (expanded) to review trade union activities in the third quarter and deploy key tasks in the fourth quarter of 2025.

In particular, focusing on preparing for the grassroots Trade Union Congress towards the Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

According to Mr. Linh, to complete the targets and tasks in the context of preparing for the Trade Union Congresses at all levels, trade unions at all levels need to focus on document work, personnel and the progress of the Congress.

"It is recommended to focus on 5 tasks: taking care of Tet for union members; improving the quality of labor conferences and collective agreements; managing finances in accordance with regulations; launching emulation initiatives; strictly implementing the information and reporting regime", Mr. Linh emphasized this content.

The conference also discussed and collected comments on the 14th National Congress Documents of the Party, including an assessment of 40 years of renovation, the 5-year socio-economic development direction for 2026-2030, and Party building work.
