Son La Provincial Labor Federation focuses on developing union members, strengthening support for union members in difficult circumstances
Son La - February 5th, the Son La Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized the 2nd Expanded Conference, 16th term, to deploy orientations and tasks for 2026.
In 2025, the Provincial Labor Federation has closely followed Resolution 18 of the 12th Party Central Committee on streamlining the organizational structure. Trade union levels have implemented synchronously and effectively.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Soi Ngoc Cuong - Chairman of Son La Provincial Labor Federation said that from July 1, 2025 to now, the whole province has newly admitted 984 union members, established 14 grassroots trade unions (CĐCS). The total number of CĐCS managed by the Provincial Labor Federation increased to 183, including 138 CĐCS in the production - business sector with more than 12,400 union members.
In addition, trade unions at all levels have introduced over 1,000 outstanding union members for Party consideration and admission. Among them, 570 comrades were admitted to the Party.
The work of caring for union members and workers (ĐVNLĐ) was deployed promptly and practically. The Provincial Labor Federation supported the construction and repair of 40 "Trade Union Shelter" houses, with a total budget of over 1.8 billion VND.
Supporting 48 union members and workers affected by floods with 110 million VND. At the same time, organizing "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" online for nearly 2,500 union members and workers, with a budget of over 1.2 billion VND.
The task for 2026, Son La Provincial Labor Federation continues to affirm its role as a representative, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights of union members and workers. Trade unions proactively participate in building policies and laws related to workers. Focus on improving the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining. The focus is on salaries, bonuses, occupational safety and health and the quality of lunch meals.
In the year, strive to develop 1,000 new union members, establish 2-3 grassroots trade unions. At the same time, ensure that 100% of union members and workers in difficult circumstances are cared for and supported appropriately.
At the conference, the Executive Committee discussed and voted to approve the Working Regulations. At the same time, it approved the Work Program, the Overall Inspection and Supervision Program and the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the XVI Son La Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025–2030.
