In 2025, although the production and business situation at some enterprises still faced difficulties and shortages of orders, the Quang Ngai Trade Union at all levels made efforts to protect the rights of 92,017 union members. According to the Quang Ngai Provincial Federation of Labor, this unit has exceeded all 11 targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Typically, developing 5,033 new union members (100.7%); introducing 573 outstanding union members to the Party (144.3%); in particular, the bargaining target of adjusting the value of shift meals to increase reached a record of 453.3% with 68 units successfully implementing.

Health care activities are being implemented on an unprecedented scale. The total allocated budget reached over 73.63 billion VND, serving 143,370 union members and workers during Tet. Of which, 120 "Union Shelters" were newly built and repaired with a budget of 5.08 billion VND; 1.8 billion VND was disbursed from the Fund for the Poor Workers. In addition, the "Union Meal" program for 4,213 workers with a spending of 50,000 VND - 85,000 VND/meal has truly created great confidence in the hearts of workers.

In particular, the historical milestone is the completion of the dissolution of grassroots trade union organizations receiving budget salaries, merging and perfecting the new Quang Ngai Provincial Federation of Labor in a streamlined and efficient manner.

Digital skills breakthrough

Entering 2026, the Quang Ngai Provincial Federation of Labor has identified 12 key groups of tasks, taking the implementation of the Resolution of the Trade Union Congress at all levels as a guideline. One of the most important highlights is the campaign "Learning from the digital age". The provincial trade union will coordinate with enterprises to build a "learning enterprise" model, retrain workers in digital skills, foreign languages and soft skills to adapt to new technology.

The goal is not only to increase productivity but also to help union members increase their actual income. Along with that, the emulation movement "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation" will be concretized by digital solutions in managing and operating trade union activities.

Another key task in 2026 is to focus on developing union members in the informal sector - an area with a lot of room but full of challenges. The Provincial Federation of Labor will innovate admission methods, build a core network of collaborators to attract freelance workers and fishermen to join unions.

In terms of social security, the Trade Union will continue to pursue social housing projects for workers to rent and carefully prepare for the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year. In particular, 2026 is also the year of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels; the Provincial Trade Union will focus on propagating and mobilizing union members to exercise civil rights in conjunction with the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union.

With the foundation of "knowing" numbers in 2025, the Quang Ngai Trade Union is determined to innovate leadership methods, promote the application of technology to truly be the most solid support for workers in the new situation.
