The first meeting of the Executive Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor after the merger

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Chuong Phat - Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized: The implementation of streamlining the organizational apparatus of the political system is the right and necessary step in the current context. Thereby, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of leadership and management, contributing to creating a flexible management system, better serving people and businesses.

With the participation of the entire political system, implementing Resolution 18-NQ/TW, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor has reduced 26 focal points compared to the beginning of 2025. In which: reduce 5 specialized committees of the Provincial Federation of Labor; dissolve 33 grassroots trade union units. There are now 2 professional committees; 7 commune and ward trade unions have been established.

Implementing Resolution 60-NQ/TW and the directive document of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor has ended the operation of 1,621 grassroots trade unions with 49,958 union members receiving 100% of their salaries from the state budget according to regulations.

This is the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor after the organizational arrangement. To carry out the key tasks in the last 6 months of 2025, it is necessary to clarify the shortcomings, causes and propose solutions. In addition, promote the development of union members, establish grassroots unions in non-state enterprises, admit new union members in the informal sector and establish informal grassroots unions, said Mr. Nguyen Chuong Phat.

The conference also approved the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee (28 people); the Standing Committee (12 people); the Inspection Committee (8 people) under the Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor for the 2023-2028 term.
