Opening of the 2025 Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament Final Round

The event was attended by Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong highly appreciated the organizing committee for creating a meaningful tournament for civil servants and workers to participate in health training and strengthen solidarity.

In the 3rd season, the football tournament for workers and civil servants has had more than 40 participating teams, showing the need and aspiration of workers for a playground for everyone to interact with each other.

Ms. Thai Thu Xuong also expressed her confidence that the tournament will be a useful playground, a day of solidarity for workers, so that they can actively practice, improve physical and labor spirit, promote units and enterprises to develop the locality and the country.

The final round has 16 participating teams, after being selected from the qualifying rounds of the Northern and Southern regions, including: Hai Phong Trade Union, Bac Ninh 1 Trade Union, Vietnam Bank Trade Union, People's Public Security Trade Union, Hanoi Trade Union, Bac Ninh 2 Trade Union, Da Nang Trade Union, Sacombank, Sawaco, Dong Nai 1 Trade Union, Quang Ngai Trade Union, Khanh Hoa Trade Union, An Giang Trade Union, Le Bao Minh, Dong Nai 3 Trade Union and Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union 2.

Before the final round, the organizing committee drew lots to divide the groups for 16 teams. As a result, Group A includes the People's Public Security Trade Union, Khanh Hoa Trade Union, Dong Nai 1 Trade Union, Ho Chi Minh City 1 Trade Union.

Group B has the participation of Sawaco, Bac Ninh 1 Trade Union, Quang Ngai Trade Union, Dong Nai 3 Trade Union. Meanwhile, Hai Phong Trade Union, Sacombank, Le Bao Minh and Bac Ninh 2 Trade Union are in Group C. Group D includes the teams of Vietnam Bank Trade Union, Da Nang Trade Union, Hanoi Trade Union and An Giang Trade Union.

The matches in the final round will take place from October 31 to November 2 at Ton Duc Thang University Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City.

One of the new points of this year's final round is that the organizing committee will award the title of best player in all 32 matches of the tournament. To ensure the best professional work for the matches, the organizing committee met with the teams, listened to comments and changes, so that the players could compete better.

During the competition, the organizing committee also arranged massage and health care services to help the players in the best physical condition, to be able to compete best in the context of a fairly tight competition schedule.

The 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament is jointly organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Entering the 3rd year of organization, the tournament has affirmed its position as an annual and prestigious playground for workers, civil servants, and laborers nationwide, contributing to promoting the movement of physical exercise, improving the cultural and spiritual life of workers, civil servants, and laborers in particular and the whole society in general.
