More than 200 Dong Thap workers are propagandized to build new rural areas

On the afternoon of November 27, at Co Garment Import-Export Company Limited, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) coordinated with the Department of Rural Development to organize a propaganda session on the National Target Program on New Rural Development in 2025 for more than 200 union members and workers working at the enterprise.

At the propaganda session, union members and workers listened to Ms. Huynh Thi Huynh Mai - Department of Target Programs, Department of Rural Development of Dong Thap province - inform about the results of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Development in Dong Thap; effective models, lessons in improving the quality of new rural criteria and draft national set of criteria on new rural areas at all levels for the period 2026-2030.

Ms. Mai also emphasized the role of workers and laborers in participating in building new rural areas associated with restructuring the agricultural sector and sustainable poverty reduction; along with the role of the Trade Union organization in propagating, mobilizing, and supporting union members and laborers to actively contribute to the movement to build new rural areas in the province.

In addition to the report, the program also organizes a knowledge question exchange section with awards, creating an exciting atmosphere, helping union members and workers access information in an intuitive and easy-to-understand way, thereby raising awareness and responsibility in participating in building new rural areas in the community where they live.

Since the beginning of the year, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor has coordinated with the Department of Rural Development to organize 3 propaganda sessions, attracting more than 600 union members and workers to attend. The activities are implemented according to Plan No. 135/KH-LDLD dated May 30, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, contributing to spreading the spirit of "self-reliance - hard work - cooperation" in the movement to build new rural areas, promoting the role of union members and workers.
