More than 100 grassroots trade unions in Lam Dong organize Trade Union Meals
Lam Dong - The Union Meal Program has been implemented in 104 grassroots unions, more than 45,500 union members and workers have benefited.
On September 18, Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation announced that the unit had summarized the "Union Meal" program.
Accordingly, from mid-July to now, 104 grassroots trade unions across the province have organized Union Meals for 45,583 union members and workers to enjoy.
Of which, the highest meal value is 400,000 VND/meal. The total budget for organizing the "Union Meal" is more than 3.4 billion VND. The budget from the union's financial resources is more than 730 million VND.
In addition, during the "Union Meal" at units with a large number of workers, Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation presented 20 gifts, worth VND500,000/gift to union members in difficult circumstances.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation said that after the Provincial Labor Federation launched the Trade Union Meal, many grassroots unions responded.
Union meals help workers feel cared for, creating a warm atmosphere between the relationship between workers and business owners.
"When businesses increase their responsibility towards employees, they are more enthusiastic, more committed and willing to share difficulties. The Union Meal needs to continue to be maintained in the following years" - Mr. Hoang shared more.
The "Union Meal" program aims to strengthen meal care, ensure nutrition and health for union members and workers.
At the same time, it demonstrates the responsibility to care for the material and spiritual lives of workers, creating opportunities for union members to connect in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Thereby building a united relationship between employees and trade unions and employers.
