Nearly 13,000 workers in the Chemical industry attended the Union Meal
According to the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union, nearly 13,000 workers attended the Trade Union Meal at the units.
The Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union has supported a grassroots trade union with funding difficulties to organize a Trade Union Meal for workers. The total amount of money that grassroots unions spent on the Union Meal was more than 500 million VND, the units' expertise spent more than 1 billion VND.
To achieve this result, the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union sent an official dispatch, instructing grassroots trade unions to implement the Union Meal.
The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union regularly contacts units, especially those in difficulty, to grasp the situation and encourage the unit to organize Union Meals for union members and workers; consider this a political activity, an opportunity for workers, trade unions and business leaders to share, feel confident, create an atmosphere of solidarity... Thereby creating trust and attachment of union members and workers to the Trade Union organization and the enterprise.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huy Thong - Chairman of the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union, trade unions at all levels of the system have been very responsible in implementing the organization of Trade Union Meals for union members and workers in accordance with the conditions and actual situation of the enterprise as well as the Union's funding source. The Union Meal clearly saw the joy and excitement of many union members and workers. The effectiveness of the Union Meal is better, more nutritious than usual.
In particular, at the Trade Union Meal, many units incorporated propaganda content about the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the role of the Vietnam Trade Union.
In addition, at the Union Meal, there are units giving gifts to workers in difficult circumstances; some units organize awards to outstanding collectives and individuals, congratulate and give birthday gifts to union members who have birthdays in the month...
