Hai Phong establishes 7 Clubs of Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of grassroots Trade Unions in industrial parks

Hai Phong - On September 18, the City Labor Federation announced the decision to establish 7 Clubs of Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of grassroots Trade Unions in industrial parks in the Western region.

After the Hai Phong Trade Union system merged with the old Hai Duong Trade Union and terminated the activities of the grassroots Trade Union, the innovation of Trade Union organization and activities poses many challenges in governance in the Western industrial parks.

If in the Eastern region, the Club model (CLB) of grassroots Trade Union Chairmen has proven effective with hundreds of dialogues and hundreds of recommendations resolved, then in the West, there are gaps in management work. With 204 grassroots trade unions and more than 110,000 union members, this is an area with complex labor relations, requiring a new connection mechanism to grasp the thoughts of workers and promptly resolve disputes.

From that practice, the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation directed the Trade Union Committees of industrial parks to establish grassroots Trade Union President and Vice President Clubs. After three steps including surveying, collecting opinions, consulting with the Executive Committee and completing the dossier, 7 clubs were officially established in the key industrial parks: Dai An, Dai An Expansion, Lai Cach; Nam Sach, Lai Vu; Luong Dien - Cam Dien; Phu Thai; An Phat and neighboring industrial parks; Tan Truong; Phuc Dien.

37 outstanding and dedicated union officials have been elected to the Executive Committee of the Clubs. This is a core force, helping the Hai Phong City Labor Federation maintain close leadership, enhance management capacity, and replicate effective models from the Eastern region.

In the context of increasingly high innovation requirements, the practical and effective operation of clubs is considered an urgent task, contributing to building a strong Hai Phong Trade Union to meet the requirements of the new period.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hong Quang - Deputy Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Labor Union said:

"In the context of increasingly high demand for innovation in Trade Union activities, ensuring that grassroots Trade Union Presidium Clubs operate effectively and substantially is an urgent task, both improving the capacity of grassroots cadres and realizing Resolution 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo, the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks respectfully requests the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation to always pay attention to and direct the Clubs to promote their core role in solidarity, contributing to building a strong city trade union, meeting the requirements in the new period".
