Nearly 1.5 million children of employees and armed forces of Dong Nai province were honored

On June 28 (Vietnam Family Day), the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor held a ceremony to honor the children of workers, civil servants, laborers, and armed forces of Dong Nai province for the 26th "Good at studying, good at living" in 2025.

Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong attended and presented awards.

At the commendation ceremony, Chairwoman of Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Thi Nhu Y said that the movement to honor children of employees and armed forces "Good at studying, good at living" is a typical model that has bears the mark of Dong Nai trade union over the past 26 years.

Notably, the number of employees and armed forces of the province honored each year has increased in both quantity and quality. In the early years, the selection and awarding at the grassroots level was only good at studying each grade and level, but in recent years, the criteria of students achieving high-level provincial, national, regional and international prizes have been included in the selection process....

Nearly 1.5 million children of employees and armed forces of the province have been commended and rewarded by trade unions at all levels in the province over the past 26 years.

In 2025, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor organized a ceremony to honor 714 children of employees and armed forces of Dong Nai province with outstanding achievements in studying and training, representing over 100,000 examples of "Good study, good life" selected from grassroots unions in the whole province.

"To continue to maintain and spread the movement to honor children of employees, the armed forces of "Good at studying, good at living" in the new situation, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to direct trade unions at all levels to have practical and effective models and activities and achieve even higher results in the coming time" - Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Thi Nhu Y said.

Speaking at the commendation ceremony, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang highly appreciated the fact that trade unions at all levels have flexibly adapted, expanded the criteria for commendation, created conditions to promptly and accurately recognize the right subjects and spread out typical examples in studying and practicing.

In the coming time, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang suggested that Party committees at all levels, authorities, trade unions and the whole society continue to pay attention and closely coordinate in the work of educating the young generation; creating favorable conditions and environment for them to promote their capacity, intelligence and moral qualities.

"The Provincial People's Committee will always accompany, support and highly appreciate good initiatives and models in caring for the children of workers, because this is part of the strategy of developing high-quality human resources, building a civilized - modern - loyal Dong Nai", said Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang.
