Innovating Trade Union activities in a practical direction, focusing on union members

This is an important political event, marking a new step in the development of the Trade Union organization in the Hospital.

During his term, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union has closely coordinated with the Trade Union groups and all union members, bringing the Hospital's Trade Union movement to the title of "Excellent completion of tasks" for many consecutive years.

The grassroots trade union has focused on caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members, paying attention to implementing well the regimes and policies, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of civil servants and workers. Accordingly, the unit participated with the government in resolving social insurance regimes for sick leave and maternity leave for 413 cases with an amount of nearly 3.35 billion VND.

The unit also coordinates to organize annual health check-ups; organize many vacations; visit shelters, parties; provide grants for union members with serious illnesses, work-related accidents, etc.

The emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers", women's work, social activities, sports and Party development movements all achieved practical results, creating a positive mark in the entire unit. In particular, during the term, the grassroots trade union has developed 178 union members, bringing the total number of current union members to 936/9/966, reaching a rate of 100%, with 28 affiliated union groups.

The educational qualifications, expertise and political awareness of union members have been increasingly improved, meeting the requirements of medical innovation in the current period. The whole unit always maintains the spirit of solidarity and unity, works according to democratic regulations, promotes the bridging role of the grassroots trade union, contributing to building the hospital to develop more and more sustainably.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit of solidarity and efforts of the collective of cadres, union members and workers at Soc Trang General Hospital for successfully completing political, professional tasks and the Trade Union movement.

To meet the development requirements in the new period, the Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation suggested that the Hospital Trade Union should focus on strongly innovating the content and methods of Trade Union activities in a practical and effective direction, focusing on union members; Strengthening the application of digital transformation in the management and operation of Trade Union activities.

At the same time, promote the patriotic emulation movement, promote the spirit of creativity, responsibility, and dedication of the medical team - doctors, and health workers; Improve the quality of the Trade Union staff, especially key staff with courage, professional skills, prestige, and high sense of responsibility.

The Congress elected 11 comrades to the new Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union. Comrade Hua Phuoc Truong was elected as Chairman of the Trade Union of Soc Trang General Hospital for the 2025-2030 term.
