Can Tho Trade Union football team warms up before the national festival

On September 13, the Can Tho Trade Union football team had an exciting first day of training, preparing for fierce matches towards the 2025 National Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The football team brings together union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers from many grassroots unions in the area. Despite different living and working conditions, the players all showed solidarity, determination and passion for the ball.

Mr. Vo Hoang Mai in Nga Nam ward (Can Tho city) shared that his house is more than 70km from the center of Can Tho city but he is still regularly present at practice hours: "Department is not a problem, wearing the Can Tho Trade Union football team jersey is an honor and great motivation for me."

Similarly, Mr. Truong Van Thai, although working in Ho Chi Minh City, still took the opportunity to travel early in the morning to Can Tho to practice and make friends with the team.

From a professional perspective, Coach Tran Van Hiep said: "This year's football team brings together brothers from many localities such as Soc Trang, Hau Giang (old) and Can Tho. Everyone is enthusiastic, disciplined, and considers exercise a joy. That is the motivation for me and the coaching staff to orient and lead to achieve the best results".

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Labor Federation, Ms. Tran Tu Nhien - Vice President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation directly visited, encouraged the spirit and provided material support to the coaching staff and the entire team.

Ms. Nhien emphasized: "The football tournament is a useful playground, contributing to health training, spreading the spirit of solidarity among workers, civil servants, and laborers. We believe that the Can Tho Trade Union football team will compete with all their might, leaving a good impression on audiences nationwide".
