Enterprises in Dong Thap invest 1.3 billion VND in stadium to take care of workers

On the morning of September 21, the Trade Union of Nissei Electric MyTho Company Limited (Long Giang Industrial Park, Tan Phuoc 3 Commune, Dong Thap Province) held the inauguration ceremony of a 2,200 m2 multi-purpose stadium to care for workers and laborers and opened the 10th School Sports Festival.

The multi-purpose stadium with a total investment of over 1.3 billion VND, an area of 2,200 m2, including: 1 artificial turf football field; 1 volleyball field, 1 pickleball field and 1 badminton court with a roof to serve the sports activities of workers at the company.

The multi-purpose stadium aims to create conditions for increasingly diverse sports activities, meeting the needs of healthy playgrounds for workers after daily working hours. Every year, the company's grassroots union also organizes many activities such as football, volleyball, badminton, pickleball, flower arrangement, dance, etc.

In his opening speech, Mr. Ikegaya Takami - General Director of Nissei Electric MyTho Company Limited - said that employees are the most valuable asset. In recent years, in addition to production and business activities, the Board of Directors of the company has paid great attention to taking care of the material and spiritual life of union members and employees, especially cultural, artistic and sports activities, creating a useful and meaningful playground for union members and employees in the entire company.

Along with that, to help workers have a place to practice sports and improve their spiritual life after work, Nissei Electric MyTho Company Limited has invested in building a multi-purpose stadium with a total investment of over 1.3 billion VND on an area of 2,200 m2 serving over 1,200 workers.

"I recommend that athletes compete with a spirit of solidarity, enthusiasm, honesty, and nobility, striving for the highest achievements. The brothers and sisters in the referee team uphold the sense of responsibility, work fairly, objectively and in accordance with the law to contribute to the success of the 10th School Sports Festival in 2025, said Mr. Ikegaya Takami.

After the inauguration ceremony, nearly 1,000 athletes were divided into 20 teams, each team consisting of 14 athletes competing in 5 sports: badminton, flying disc, riding a pony, fun football, water volleyball.

Athletes compete in a knockout round, selecting outstanding athletes for the Organizing Committee to award prizes. Fans will compete in 4 sports: bowling, showing off their marksmanship, covering their eyes and smashing drums, bringing the ball back to the source.

School activities aim to create a useful playground, improve the spiritual life of workers, strengthen connections between trade union groups; contribute to promoting the movement of physical exercise among workers, adding motivation for labor competition and production at enterprises.
