Lam Dong Trade Union takes care of the lives of forest rangers

On September 18, Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation said that the unit had just surveyed the situation of union members and workers at Don Duong Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ho Cong Duong - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation.

Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam - Chairman of the company's Trade Union said that the unit currently has 35 employees, 100% of whom have joined the union.

The Executive Committee of the Trade Union coordinated with the Board of Directors to create stable jobs, with an average income of nearly 13 million VND/person/month. In addition, the union also organizes cultural, sports and birthday activities for union members, helping to increase collective cohesion.

Thanks to that effort, the grassroots trade union has been assessed as having completed its tasks well or better for many consecutive years, receiving the Emulation Flag of the Provincial Labor Federation; the company has also achieved the title of "cultural enterprise".

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ho Cong Duong acknowledged the achieved results and suggested that the grassroots trade unions pay more attention to taking care of the lives, improving working conditions, and increasing income for workers. At the same time, it is necessary to promote political and ideological education, enhance responsibility in forest protection.

At the meeting, many solutions were proposed to improve operational efficiency: coordinate with the Board of Directors to apply science and technology to forest care and protection; build seedling gardens to save costs, increase income; deploy loans for union members to produce and repair houses from the Provincial Labor Federation fund.

Mr. Duong suggested that the grassroots trade union include these contents in the congress resolution for the 2025-2030 term, linking the rights of workers with the results of completing the tasks of the enterprise.
