The 1st Lam Thao Commune Trade Union Congress: Innovation and creativity for workers

Lam Thao Commune Trade Union was established on the basis of merging 38 grassroots trade unions in four communes: Lam Thao, Phung Nguyen, Ban Nguyen and Xuan Lung of the old Lam Thao district, with more than 3,000 union members.

During the past term, trade union activities in the area have developed clearly, contributing to protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.

The quality of union members has been improved: 97% of cadres, civil servants, and workers in the education, health care and credit sector have university and college degrees; 83% of workers have high school degrees or higher; over 90% have received vocational training; 77.3% have been trained and improved their expertise; the young workforce accounts for a high proportion, is healthy, dynamic, creative, meeting development requirements in the new period.

For the 2025-2030 term, Lam Thao Commune Trade Union will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, focusing on union members and workers. Focus on applying digital transformation in management and operation in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo.

Commune trade unions set a target of developing an additional 100 to 120 union members; establishing 3 to 5 new grassroots trade unions; 100% of grassroots trade unions well implemented democratic regulations in agencies, units and enterprises. The breakthrough is to build a team of capable and prestigious union officials; increase dialogue, negotiation, and practical care for the lives of union members and workers, towards the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development".

The Congress announced the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor to appoint 11 members to the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee and positions in the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee of Commune Trade Union, term I, 2025-2030. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Khuyen was appointed as the first Chairwoman of the Lam Thao Commune Trade Union, term 2025-2030.
