The 1st Ca Mau Provincial Trade Union Congress officially opened

On the morning of December 29 at the Ca Mau Provincial Conference Center, the 1st Ca Mau Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, officially opened. Attending were 150 delegates representing more than 46,000 union members in the province.

The Congress is honored to welcome the presence of representatives of leaders of central and local agencies.

On the central agency side, there were Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Member of the 15th National Assembly, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Do Hong Van - Member of the Presidium, Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

On the side of the leaders of Ca Mau province, there were Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee; Le Thanh Trieu - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Binh Tan - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Mr. Ngo Vu Thang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province.

At the first working session held on December 28, delegates elected the Presidium, the Congress Secretariat, the Delegation for the status of delegate review board; approved the program and working regulations; reported the results of the review and voted to recognize the status of delegate to attend the Congress.

On behalf of the Congress Presidium, Ms. Huynh Ut Muoi - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor - delivered the opening speech emphasizing: In the past time, the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in Ca Mau province have had many favorable conditions: the province's socio-economic development has had breakthroughs, growth is quite high and stable, the investment and business environment continues to improve, attracting many potential investors in economy and tourism; the culture - society has had many positive changes, the lives of workers, civil servants and laborers have been increasingly improved...

The 1st Ca Mau Provincial Trade Union Congress has extremely important tasks: The Congress conducts a summary and assessment of the situation and results of implementing the Resolution of the 11th Ca Mau Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2023 - 2028. On that basis, clearly identify advantages, disadvantages, causes and draw lessons; set goals, directions, tasks, and solutions in trade union activities for the 2025 - 2030 term.

Reviewing the leadership and direction of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation, term XI. Select outstanding comrades in quality, ethics, and capacity to introduce to the General Confederation of Labor to issue a decision to appoint to the Executive Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation, term I, and the delegation of Ca Mau province to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.

The Congress continued to discuss and contribute opinions to the draft documents of the 13th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor submitted to the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; proposals and recommendations from union members, workers, civil servants and laborers to the Party, State, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, and the Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province related to employment, the lives of workers and building a strong working class and trade union organization.
