Grassroots trade union congresses are held in nearly 500 units
HCMC - Nearly 500 units under the Area Management Working Group No. 5 of the City Labor Federation organized a grassroots union congress.
On January 19, Area Management Working Group No. 5 (Group 5) of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation said that all commune, ward and special zone trade unions in the area (12 units) have organized trade union congresses according to regulations.
There are currently 575 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) in the area with 62,898 union members, an increase of 14 newly established grassroots trade union units since July 1. In the past time, Group 5 has organized 3 conferences to grasp the activities of trade unions at the commune, ward, and special zone levels; grassroots trade unions in the area, especially in industrial parks, units with over 1,000 workers...
To date, 498 grassroots trade unions that are eligible to organize congresses/conferences have submitted applications for recognition to the Executive Committee and the Trade Union Inspection Committee, reaching a rate of 95.7%.
The Management Working Group of Area No. 5 has also deployed, guided, and coordinated to support units in implementing procedures and processes for granting and changing seals. To date, 12/12 Commune, Ward and Special Zone Trade Unions have issued seals; 500 Trade Unions have registered to make seals according to regulations.
