Da Nang opens the 6th Traditional Badminton Tournament of the Labor Culture House in 2025
Da Nang - On the evening of September 12, the City Labor Culture House organized the opening ceremony of the 6th Traditional Badminton Tournament of the Labor Culture House in 2025.
The tournament has 13 registered units with 172 athletes, including 3 events: Men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles.
Athletes compete in 4 age groups: Group I from 40 years old and under; Group II from 41 years old and over; Group III is 80+ (age 2 athletes combined from 80 years old and above); Group IV is 100+ (age 2 athletes combined from 100 years old and above, in which athletes are 46 years younger).
Participating in the tournament are cadres, union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers working and participating in grassroots trade unions at all levels of the Da Nang City Trade Union; members of badminton clubs in Da Nang City; professional and semi-professional athletes practicing and competing in the city's national team.
This is an activity to create a healthy sports playground for union members, workers at all levels of trade unions and members of Badminton Clubs in the city to exchange and share experiences, strengthen solidarity, promote sports training movements, and improve spiritual life.
In particular, through the tournament, it aims to discover badminton athletes with high achievements to act as the core to build and develop the movement at the grassroots level.
The tournament lasts for 3 days, and is expected to close on the afternoon of September 14.
