Da Nang introduces personnel for presidents of 16 associations after merger

On August 11, the Department of Home Affairs of Da Nang City announced the policy of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on introducing 16 personnel to hold the position of chairman of city-level associations after the merger.

Previously, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City. Da Nang City Luong Nguyen Minh Triet signed a decision allowing the merger of Associations assigned by the Party and State for the old Quang Nam province and Da Nang City.

Specifically, 16 Associations are merged, including: Union of Science and Technology Associations; Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Union of Friendship Organizations; Cooperative Union; Red Cross Society; Journalists Association; Lawyers Association; Association for Encouragement of Education; Association of the Elderly; Association of Patriotic Youth Volunteers; Association of victims of Agent Orange/dioxin; Association of Charity and Protection of Children's rights; Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, Orphans and Poor Patients; Association of the Blind and the Association of Traditional Medicine.

According to the decision, after the merger, the associations will still maintain their legal status, seal, separate accounts and operate in accordance with the law.

Immediately afterwards, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee agreed to introduce 16 personnel to the positions of Chairmen of the associations, including Mr. and Mrs. Vo Cong Tri, Nguyen Nho Khiem, Nguyen Ngoc Binh, Le Ngoc Trung, Le Tan Minh, Doan Xuan Hieu, Nguyen Ba Son, Nguyen Minh Hung, Pham Quy, Than Vinh Van, Pham Thi Thao, Nguyen Van An, Le Thi Tam, Nguyen Hoang Long, Le Van Xin and Nguyen Minh Son.

The positions of Executive Committee members, Standing Committee members and Vice Chairmen will be implemented according to Instruction No. 31 of the Central Organizing Committee. For now, the number of vice chairmen will remain the same as at present.

This arrangement and consolidation is part of the plan to implement Resolution 10 of the People's Council on the payroll of Da Nang City in 2025.
