Vinh Long - The Provincial Trade Union has set a goal of developing 90,000 union members in 5 years, expanding the organization and strengthening the strength after the merger.
The 1st Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, took place in a special context when the Trade Union organizations of Ben Tre, Tra Vinh and Vinh Long merged.
This is an important event, shaping the development direction with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", in which the development of union members is given top priority.
The provincial trade union sets a strong growth target, striving to develop 18,000 union members each year, aiming for at least 90,000 new union members during the term to strengthen the organization after the merger.
The expansion of the union member force is a central task to strengthen the organizational strength after the restructuring period. The whole province currently has 169,462 union members out of a total of 182,850 workers.
Vinh Long Trade Union also expands its operating area, aiming to establish grassroots trade unions in 100% of qualified enterprises, aiming to comprehensively cover and improve the strength of the workforce.
Priority is given to non-state enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises - groups with a large number of workers, strong fluctuations and playing an important role in building the working class in the new era.
The provincial trade union promotes the development of grassroots trade unions in areas without labor relations, focusing on stable occupations to ensure social security, improve working conditions and increase solidarity for workers.
In addition, Vinh Long strives for 85% or more enterprises with trade unions to sign Collective Labor Agreements. This is considered an important solution to help protect the rights, improve the welfare of union members and create a harmonious and progressive working environment.
With clear goals and high determination, Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union hopes to build a strong organization, meeting new requirements in the context of merging and developing the local socio-economy.
