Hanoi On December 19, the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union held its 7th Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Nearly 9.4 billion VND to take care of union members and workers

In the period of 2023 - 2025, in the context of facing many difficulties and challenges more than expected, but with the outstanding efforts of the entire system, the trade unions at all levels of Vietnam National Shipping Lines have made efforts to successfully implement the set targets and tasks. Typically, implementing Decision 217-QD/TW (2013) of the Politburo on social supervision and criticism, in the period of 2023 - 2025, the General Corporation's Trade Union has organized supervision at 11 units with the following supervision contents: Implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulations at the workplace, implementation of Collective Labor Agreements, policies, occupational safety and hygiene; use of welfare funds, implementation of policies for employees when enterprises carry out restructuring and labor arrangement.

Despite facing many difficulties from the general economic context, the Corporation's trade unions at all levels still allocate tens of billions of VND to effectively and promptly implement the work of caring for the interests, material and spiritual life of union members, of which the total budget for activities to care for the interests of employees at the Corporation's trade union level is nearly 9.4 billion VND.

The annual Workers' Month activity is widely implemented by the Corporation's trade unions at all levels, focusing on direct workers in difficult circumstances. Speaking at the Congress, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Shipping Lines Nguyen Canh Tinh both affirmed that the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union has made many innovations and creativity in directing, operating and organizing implementation.
