Union donates lighting project to border post in Dong Nai
Dong Nai - Dofico Trade Union presented solar power projects to help officers and soldiers of Dac Bo Border Guard Station improve their cultural and spiritual life.
On January 4, the Trade Union of Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation (Dofico) said that it had just coordinated with the Dong Nai Provincial Border Guard Command to present the "Lighting up the Border" project to the Dac Bo Border Guard Station and self-managed border patrol posts in Loc Thanh Commune, Dong Nai Province.

Dofico Trade Union and its member companies presented the Dac Bo Border Guard Station with a 12KW capacity solar power rooftop project, a 100-inch TV serving the spiritual life of officers and soldiers, 200 national flags; Awarded solar lights to self-managed border patrol posts... with a total value of about 300 million VND.

The Dac Bo Border Guard Station is located deep in the core area of Bu Gia Map National Park (Bu Gia Map Commune, Dong Nai Province) managing and protecting a 12.481 km border section, bordering Cambodia.
Lieutenant Colonel Dao Duc Phuong - Head of Dac Bo Border Guard Station (Dong Nai Provincial Border Guard) said: When there is no electricity, the unit has to use oil lamps, detonators and a part of small-scale solar power, just enough to use electricity to light up, cannot use a fan or TV... After 3 weeks of implementing the "Light Up the Border" project, officers and soldiers of the station have been able to use electricity continuously to serve professional and daily tasks, improving cultural and spiritual life.

Colonel Pham Van Dang - Deputy Political Commissar of the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command, Political Commissar of the Dong Nai Provincial Border Guard Command said: With the assigned functions and tasks, the Dong Nai Provincial Border Guard is the specialized force for managing and protecting 258.939 km of the border adjacent to Cambodia with 16 border posts. However, there are 5 border guards without power located in Bu Gia Map National Park. Currently, with the support of the Dofico Trade Union, the Dac Bo Border Guard Station has a communication phone to help connect information smoothly, while contributing significantly to serving cultural institutions, improving the spiritual life of officers and soldiers at the border station.

Speaking at the project presentation ceremony, Mr. Tran Dang Ninh, Deputy General Director, Chairman of the Trade Union of Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation, pledged to be a bridge, together with units and benefactors, to continue to accompany and support officers and soldiers of border posts in difficulty, contributing to the task of firmly protecting sovereignty and border security.
Also during the working trip, the delegation visited and presented gifts and national flags to the border posts: Dac Ka, Dac No, Bu Gia Map and Dac O.
