Truong Vinh Ward Trade Union organizes the 1st Congress, term 2025-2030

The Congress was attended by Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, Mr. Nguyen Trung Nghia - Standing Deputy Secretary of Truong Vinh Ward Party Committee and 150 delegates representing grassroots unions.

Truong Vinh Ward Trade Union was established on July 11, 2025, currently has 58 grassroots trade unions with 5,690 union members, including 23 non-public centers and schools; 17 joint stock companies, limited liability companies and 18 public service units. Immediately after its establishment, the Ward Trade Union has improved its organization, assigned tasks, developed regulations and quickly put into disciplinary action.

In recent times, the Ward Union has focused on caring for and protecting the rights and welfare of union members and workers. The unit has reviewed and requested the Provincial Federation of Labor to support 121 union members affected by storms No. 3 and No. 5. to organize many activities to care for union members' children during the Mid-Autumn Festival and the opening of the new school year.

Along with that, the Trade Union coordinates with the People's Committee and relevant departments in implementing legal policies on labor, wages, and insurance, promptly grasping the thoughts and aspirations of workers to make appropriate recommendations and proposals.

The ward union also focuses on propaganda, political and ideological education, application of information technology, social networks to quickly and effectively convey the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies. More than 1,000 union members and workers participated in the online contest "C employee learning about the Trade Union Law and the Social Insurance Law in 2024".

Determining that developing union members and establishing grassroots unions is a key task, the Ward Union has coordinated with social insurance agencies and the Economic - Urban Department to review enterprises and workers in the area to mobilize the establishment of union organizations.

In the 2025-2030 term, the Ward Trade Union aims to establish 5-10 new grassroots trade unions, develop 750 more union members; have 20-30% of units and enterprises meeting cultural standards; over 85% of enterprises have trade unions conducting negotiations and signing collective labor agreements; 100% of public service units and over 85% of enterprises with 10 or more female workers establish mass women's work committees.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor - praised the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and the achievements of Truong Vinh Ward Trade Union in the short time since its establishment.

The Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor suggested that the Ward Trade Union continue to closely follow the direction of the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Ward Party Committee to effectively implement tasks in the new term; in particular, focusing on innovating the content and methods of operation, improving the quality of propaganda, caring for, and protecting the rights of union members and workers; promoting the development of grassroots trade unions, applying information technology, digital transformation in management and propaganda; effectively organizing patriotic emulation movements, focusing on the movement "Good workers, Creative workers" and "Enterprises for workers".

At the Congress, the Presidium announced the Decision of the Provincial Federation of Labor Standing Committee on appointing the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee and key positions of the Ward Trade Union for the 2025 - 2030 term, including 15 members of the Executive Committee, 5 members of the Standing Committee, 3 members of the Inspection Committee; Mr. Le Xuan Trinh - Vice Chairman of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee - was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Truong Vinh Ward Trade Union; Mr. Nguyen Van Kien was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Ward Trade Union, holding the position of Chairman of the Inspection Committee.
