Dong Thap Trade Union deploys many new and creative models

Comprehensive innovation

The movement "Good workers - Creative workers" continues to spread widely with the motto "Each union member - one initiative, each grassroots union - one model". Hundreds of initiatives and technical improvements of workers, civil servants and laborers have been applied in production, typically the " IoT Robot Model" initiative of the Dong Thap Community College Trade Union introduced at the "Creative Labor Festival 2025" organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The programs "Union Meal", "Happy Bus" , "Zero-dong Market", "Union Supermarket" continue to be effective, supporting tens of thousands of workers in difficulty. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, more than 252,000 union members were taken care of with a total budget of over 102 billion VND; more than 17,000 disadvantaged cases were supported with over 7.7 billion VND.

The "Union Shelter" Fund has supported the construction of 132 houses (worth 7.7 billion VND). The Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor visited and encouraged 02 union members of the Vinh Hoan Joint Stock Company's grassroots union affected by landslides in Cao Lanh ward, thereby encouraging and sharing difficulties to help union members stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind.

Dong Thap Trade Union has boldly experimented and replicated many humane and practical models. The "Workers 5 No" model at Cadovimex II (no law violations, traffic, no fires, accidents, no use of banned substances, no illegal strikes) helps build a safe, disciplined and civilized working environment. The "Father's pregnancy and child care" club is implemented in many enterprises with female workers, helping female workers share their experiences in child care, health care, and life balance. The program "Happy Bus" and the Gameshow "After work" are both entertaining and integrated with legal propaganda, and are widely welcomed by workers.

In particular, in 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor will coordinate with the Tan Huong commune government to launch 03 self-managed worker dormitories with more than 120 workers participating. The model not only creates a healthy place for cultural activities but also helps workers connect and support each other in life, contributing to building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

Dong Thap Trade Union also focuses on innovating propaganda - mobilization, application of information technology, digital transformation. In the first 9 months of the year, more than 550 propaganda sessions with 91,000 participants were organized; promoting propaganda using infographics, short clips, electronic posters, social networks... contributing to spreading the image of a modern, close and dynamic union organization.

Promoting in the new period for workers

Women's work and social affairs continue to be a bright spot when organizing a conference on "honoring the role of Vietnamese women", the "Full Moon Festival Night" program giving 600 gifts to children of disadvantaged workers, free health check-ups, and legal advice to more than 3,000 union members. The models of "Mother's Milk Supplementing room", "Young Female Workers' Club", "Female workers who are good at public affairs and housework" have been effectively maintained, affirming the role of female union members in the family and society.

Trade unions at all levels coordinate with authorities, businesses, and the health sector to organize medical examinations, support charity houses, build rural traffic bridges, and contribute to the effective implementation of social security programs in the area.

During the organization arrangement, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor received and completed 857 grassroots unions with more than 180,000 union members. Despite the large workload, the team of union officials still upholds a sense of responsibility, proactiveness, creativity, and ensures stable and effective operations.

The highlight is the construction of a flexible trade union operating environment, close to the grassroots, promoting the role of a " bridge" between workers and the Party, the government and enterprises. Many models and initiatives have been replicated, becoming a unique feature of Dong Thap Trade Union - creative, humane and for workers.

The outstanding results in the first 9 months of 2025 demonstrate the spirit of "Innovation - Creativity - Reality - Efficiency" of Dong Thap Trade Union in the new period. In the coming time, trade unions at all levels will continue to promote the patriotic emulation movement, develop union members, establish grassroots unions in non-state enterprises, effectively implement union member welfare programs, improve the quality of dialogue - collective bargaining, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
