Dak Lak Labor Union supports the construction of houses for workers in difficulty
Dak Lak - The trade union organization has supported the construction of houses for workers in difficult circumstances working in industrial parks in the area.
On September 6, the Dak Lak Provincial Federation of Labor informed that the unit had just organized a fund-raising ceremony to support the construction of a "Union Shelter" for Mr. Le Van Tuan (worker at Asean Steel Joint Stock Company, Hoa Phu Industrial Park).
Mr. Tuan is the main breadwinner in a family of 5, including an elderly mother, two young children and an unemployed wife. Therefore, Mr. Tuan's family's circumstances are extremely difficult. Previously, the family had to rent a house.
With the support of the Provincial Federation of Labor, the new house was built on the family's land on a level 4 house scale, with a brick floor, with a construction cost of 230 million VND.
Of which, the Provincial Federation of Labor allocated 50 million VND from the Fund to support union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers; the rest was contributed by the company, family, and clan.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Lap - Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial Federation of Labor - affirmed: "Trade unions at all levels in the province will continue to pay attention to supporting housing construction funds for union members' families and workers in difficult circumstances.
This is a practical and important work, demonstrating the concern of the government and trade unions at all levels in caring for workers".
